It does not mean you can't use spaces in your usernames.
I just transformed them all to eliminate duplicates.

If someone use similar but fancy usernames such as

John-doe johndoe JOHNDOE John Doe

I want to put them under same category to save space
but what should be the username to represent them all ?

I think johndoe would be the best, and it will save space/look better and avoid confusion.

how about two values, one is unique id and one is author name?
according to your rule, "AU NG LWAN" ေအာအင္လြန္း and "Aung Lwan" ေအာင္လြမ္း will be same user :D
how do u think?

Please let me know what you think.
1. Should this idea be adopted and developed further ?
2. If so, what kind of features should we provide ?

I am looking for people who wants to join me in developing a real version of this system.

Great idea and i truely believe it is valuable.

In the next version of ZawGyi web site, all contents are just feeds. In fact, it uses Google API, blogger could give authentication token so that many thing are possible such as commenting.

I am sure aware of this issue, but I don't think it harms anybody.
Both fans of AU NG lWAN and AUNG LWAN can find their posts under the same author category

Glad to hear that it's goes to version 0.22

Suggestions

Can you separate the two columns for authors name (Burmese - English name) . I think it will be more clear for user to search. :)

That makes sense. But if there is a user name with both Burmese and English letters, what should I do ? (There is one such user name at the moment.)

Currently awaiting our MMLT sys-admin aka victor for
1) installing feedparser from feedparser.org (approx 5 min :D)
2) getting mysql db access or SQlite (approx 30 min or less)
3) Django and mod_python(less priority)
